Chippewa Valley Top Chef Chili Cook Off Complete

Wow, the weekend went by fast along with the week.  I can't believe we are done with the Chili Cook Off. We didn't get the turn out which we had hoped and I think that has a lot to do with the weather.  It was 60 degrees out in March.  Who would have thunk!?!?! Even though it was not the best turn out it was still a great and fun event.  I learned a few different things for in the future.  We had celeb judges Sarah Stokes and Chris Herzog join us for the day - Here is the news clip from the night Click Here for Video!  I will be updating my Thank You Page here in the next few days - trying to get caught up with my classes in school (which will be done this week).  Also I am hoping to have the total that we raised shortly.  I am waiting for a couple silent auction items to be paid. 

Currently we have a Virtual 5k going on.  What is a Virtual 5K you ask?  Well its a 5K that you complete at your own time and convenience while still getting the Bling!!  Walk, run, skip, crawl, shop around the mall, where ever you are, when ever you want on from March 11th until March 25, 2012. BLING included! All finishers will receive a finishers medal as our thank you to you for supporting the LLS.

Down To The Wire

We have come down to the last couple days before our Chili Cook Off!  I was on the sunrise show this past Monday Morning talking about it. Thank you WEAU for your support and having me on air.  Here is the video if you want to watch it.  Chili Cook Off (Sunrise Interview 3/5/12)

We have so many great things for the Silent Auction - here is a general list - Predator Football tickets, Eau Claire Express Baseball, scrapbooking, household decor, paint ball passes, movie tickets, homemade quilt, winery gift card, hair salons, and massages! Thank you to all who donated to the Silent Auction, Bake Sale, Chili, and your time. So many great items which I am super excited about.  One other thing I am excited about is trying all the different types of Chili that are going to be at this event, who is going to be the winner?  Please come out and enjoy ALL YOU CAN EAT chili for $5.00, and get some yummy sweets with it. 

Well enough about the Chili Cook Off, I really need to get my training in gear after this cook off.  I know we have some other fundraisers in the works which should be fun also.  I am a few weeks behind on my training but I know that I finished the Nike Womens back in October without proper training so I know I can do it. I do want to beat my first PR, which I also know I can do.  Starting next week I am planning on holding myself accountable for my training and eating and will be posting daily.  I hope you are all doing good!

Less Than A Week!!!

We have come down to the 1 week marker for the Chippewa Valley Top Chef Chili Cook-off!  I am super excited as things are really starting to come together for it.  We as at Festival Foods in Eau Claire for 3 days getting the word out, many hours spent contacting businesses to donate for either the silent auction, for gift certificiates for the winners of the Chili.  I know Nicole worked hard at getting letters to the area fire departments/police stations with the hopes we can get them involved.  I will be posting items we will have available some time this week!  I know its going to be great, we have worked super hard to make it this way!  Thank you Kyanne and Karen for driving down to help with the festival foods, also for getting any other items you may have been able to get.  Please keep watching my blog as I update the upcoming events as we have so many more things to offer.
